What we are up to

 

Choir
Church choir members meet fortnightly in church, for a Thursday evening practice at 7.30pm. The choir sings a mix of traditional hymns and modern worship songs in the main Sunday Services at 9.30 am,  New members are most welcome, ability to read music is not essential.

Music Group

This is made up of musicians who play keyboard, guitar, flutes, clarinet and a trombone, together with singers. They also  provide music in the main Sunday Services at 9.30am. Music Group members, along with singers from St. George's and St John's churches provide modern worship music at our monthly "Praise On" service on a Sunday evening at 6.30pm.

The Choir and Music Group share a rota for Sunday mornings.

 

Mothers Union
MU members meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in church
.

 

Meeting Point
This Holy Communion Service at 1.30pm on the third Thursday of each month, is designed for members of our church family who find it difficult to get to church. Volunteers provide transport to and from church. The service is followed by a cup of tea and cakes, which gives everyone chance to  sit down, chat and catch up with news. Refreshments are provided by Mothers' Union members.

 

            

Men's Group This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The men  have decided to continue raising money for The Mission Aviation Fellowship and to support Barnabas for 2019.

Little Angels
This Mother and Toddler group gather in the Meeting room at Church on Tuesday  and Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 11am, school term-time only. Places are limited, so please contact Church for details.

 

 Flowers   The Flower Arranging team, led by Mrs. Joyce Thompson meet up on a Friday morning.

Children's Church  At present, children are welcome to use the Children's area in church during the main Sunday service. Teaching is provided in the Meeting room on the fourth Sunday.

A Stepping Up Service is held on the second SATURDAY of each month in church at 3.30pm. This is designed for our younger children, involving craft and interactive worship. This was started for St Stephen's Baptism families, but all are very welcome.
